Confession of a Tide
When the tide pulls back, clarity arrives quietly.
I had many plans.
Beautiful ones — even with clear goals, deadlines, and names.
They were born in a moment of high energy, when the sea was full and the wind strong.
Now, the tide has gone out.
And with it, some of those promises feel distant.
Not out of guilt — just clarity.
This is how ADHD moves.
Not in straight lines, but in waves.
When the energy rises, ideas bloom like sudden spring.
When it falls, the shore shows what’s real, what remains.
I used to call this inconsistency.
Now, I call it a rhythm.
A natural ebb and flow that carries me between creation and rest.
So this isn’t really a confession of failure —
It’s a confession of truth:
I can’t hold high tide forever.
But when it returns, I’ll be ready.
🕯️ Keeper’s Note
There’s no shame in the low tide.
It’s where the lighthouse stands most visible — not to push the sea, but to remind it where home is.
